Tenerife Lava is a specific commission to create an installation for two houses in Tenerife.

The installation consists of a tension between the outdoor and the indoor that demonstrate the way of living on such an island.

We worked on that limit and played with one of the walls that had circular openings on the entrance of the house.

Custom made lightings are attached outside, creating a strong sign when illuminated from the inside.

To enhance that feeling, a specific intervention was created on the floor consisting of an abstract form going from outside to inside using 2 very different materials: the famous black lava stone called Picon and recycled car tires based flooring.

The installation ends with 2 benches made with the same specific recycled tires materials wrapped around a geometrical body.
